Our commitment to accessibility

At Sunday Proof, we believe good design works for everyone. Just as we build bags that take a small, daily frustration out of a day at the beach, we want our website to be equally thoughtful and inclusive.

That means we are committed to digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the experience for everyone who visits sundayproof.com, and applying the relevant accessibility standards as we do.

Accessibility standards

Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These internationally recognized guidelines help us build a website that is:

  • Perceivable: information and interface components are presented in ways that every visitor can perceive.
  • Operable: interface components and navigation can be operated by every visitor.
  • Understandable: information and the operation of the interface are understandable.
  • Robust: content is robust enough to work with a wide variety of assistive technologies.

We check the site against these guidelines as we build it. It has not yet been audited by an independent party, so we do not claim full conformance, and we treat anything that falls short as a defect to fix.

Measures to support accessibility

Sunday Proof takes the following measures on sundayproof.com:

  • Pages use meaningful headings, landmarks and a skip link, so screen readers and keyboards can move through them efficiently.
  • Everything on the site can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Images that carry information have text alternatives, and product specifications are written out as text.
  • Text and interface controls are designed to meet WCAG AA color contrast.
  • Form fields are labeled, and errors are announced to assistive technology.
  • Pages reflow for small screens and zoom, and respect your device’s reduced-motion setting.
